Climate Change and Environment

Uncontrolled emission of greenhouse gases by human beings are changing the climate of the earth. Anthropogenic climate change is a significant threat to the planet, and future climate projections show that the planet may warm up to 4 degrees Celsius by the end of this century. Here, we study the changes in climate and the impact of climate change on the environment, such as the changes in Oceans, Atmosphere, Ecosystem, Hydrology. At the regional level, we study the changes in systems such as tropical cyclones and monsoons, which are essential for countries like India. We also focus on understanding these changes and developing solutions to climate change problems such as mitigation actions, sustainable development, and possibilities of climate interventions such as Geoengineering in the climate and ecosystem
