Dr. Preethy Chandran

Assistant Professor

Brief Introduction

I am engaged in teaching and research on Environmental microbiology at the Cochin University of Science and Technology. I am mainly involved in research on bioremediation of toxic pollutants using photo catalytic bioreactors especially using microbes isolated from the contaminated areas around Periyar River, monitoring and isolation of antimicrobial resistant microbes (AMR) from Periyar river system and photocatalytic degradation of toxic dyes.
