Physical Sciences: Graduate in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiaries or graduate in Engineering (Civil/ Public Health/ Environmental) with 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in optional subjects in the qualifying examination and a valid rank in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the University.
Biological Sciences: Graduate in Life Sciences/ Environmental Science/Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology with 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in optional subjects in the qualifying examination and a valid rank in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the University.
The exam includes graduate level questions from the following areas.
Biotechnology – Graduate level questions giving equal weightage to areas of Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
Chemistry – Chemistry at the Graduate level
Engineering Science – For testing the aptitude of an applicant for admission to the interdisciplinary programme MSc Environmental Science and Technology. Questions will be Graduate level.
Life Sciences – Tests the subject knowledge as well as aptitude of an applicant for admission to various interdisciplinary programmes. Graduate level Questions will therefore be from the areas of Life Science / Medical Science / Agricultural Science, which a graduate in any of the above branches of study should be able to answer
Physics – Physics at the Graduate level.
Admissions will be based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the University.
