Toxicology research combines a number of disciplines such as biology, chemistry and medicine. In simple words it is the study of the adverse effects of different toxic agents on living organisms. Thus, it comprises identification, detection of toxicants and dose response studies etc. Our research extends to different ecosystems and compartments of environment. We explore the possibilities of toxicology studies in soil, river, agriculture lands, wetlands coastal areas, lakes etc. The term toxicants and toxins involve wide spectrum of agents. We currently focus on microplastics, pesticides as toxicants. Besides the core research area, pollution assessment and aquatic diversity are the other areas of research.
